We had an event with the Bite Club on Monday 21st June to celebrate Scottish Food and drinks.  There was a talk from Tryst brewery as well as samples from Thistly Cross Cider and Pincer vodka cocktails.  Food ranged from canapes of Scottish tomato crostini and Belhaven smoked mackerel with beetroot remoulade through to platters of cold meats from Great Glen Game and a whole host of delicious Scottish cheeses served with seasonal salads.  We finished off the evening with Scottish strawberries with lavender syrup,double cream and home-made shortbread.  A great night was had by all – thanks to all who were involved.  We have some pictures on our facebook page – why not search for us and sign up to have a look?

We’ve launched a new menu including an evening ‘tapas’ selection for Friday and Saturday nights which features some lovely Scottish treats from our deli counter and some recipes we’ve created with inspiration from further afield.  We’ve dedicated a big section at the back of the menu to our suppliers – without who we wouldn’t be able to do what we do – they’re all fantastic people who create incredible products and deserve lots of credit for their hard work.  We now also have a larger breakfast menu available which features our delicious baked egg – already proving a firm favorite with all who try it!
