Our deli counter is packed full of produce sourced seasonally from Scotland. We stock everything from chorizo made with Scottish pork, venison salami and smoked chicken or hot smoked salmon to a large range of Scottish cheese accompanied by our own homemade condiments and a number of chutneys from Galloway Preserves.
Any of our deli counter items can be enjoyed in house with our range of deli plates and our products can also be taken away to enjoy in the comfort of your own home – or for a picnic on those rare sunny Scottish days!
We have a variety of standard specials such as quiche and frittata which we make on site using seasonal produce to accompany our growing range of seasonal salads. We also have some fantastic sandwiches which are made to order using superb freshly baked bread from Au Gourmand and filled with delicious Scottish ingredients. We make 2 soups each day – one is always vegan and there is also a meat option available too. We regularly make our own pork pies and sausage rolls as well as all the lovely cakes displayed on the deli counter. There are always a number of celiac options as well such as gluten free bread, cakes, soups and specials.
Our shelves and counters are filled with Scottish sweets, tablet, biscuits, honey, rapeseed oils and dressings if you’d like to take away a reminder of your visit– or just treat yourself if you love all things Scottish as much as we do!
Jam & Chutney
Our home made chutneys are either traditional spiced pickles made with apple and seasonal veg or we also have our own unique fresh chutney which is uncooked and has a completely different flavour to traditional chutney. It’s used in our most popular sandwich (Loch Arthur mature cheddar and Ramsay’s ham). We guarantee that all our preserves are fantastic - just ask us for a taste if you're in any doubt! The first time we tested the fresh chutney - a family friend’s recipe - it was gone in less than a week!
We make our own jam too and the raspberry is by far the most popular – we regularly sell out. Our delicious elderflower cordial has proved so popular on our drinks menu that this year, we’ll be making more of it so that we can sell it by the bottle in our deli as well as mixing it to order with sparkling water – so you can try before you buy!
